Department of Revenue (DOR) and County Property Appraisers to create the
YB_DECADE_2021 dataset.
[Original Statewide Parcel Layer: Florida_Parcels_2021.gdb]

Process for dissolving parcel polygons based on decade of actual year built:

- For each county a new field representing Actual Year Built [AYRBLT] was
populated based on the attribute table information for the following fields;
ACTYRBLT and AYRB.
  - First [AYRBLT] was set equal to ACTYRBLT,
  - Next a selection set was created where [AYRBLT] = 0,
these selected features were set equal to AYRB.
  - Also checked for data in the Effective Year Built field where ACTYRBLT = 0.

- The [AYRBLT] field was then repopulated as the following, where for example, 1999 becomes 1990:
   str(!ACTYRBLT!)[0:3] + "0"

- The parcel polygon boundaries were then Dissolved
(as single part features) based on the combination of the CNTYNAME and AYRBLT fields.
The process maintained the FIRST: FIRST_AYRBLTD and FIRST_CNTYNAME fields during this step.

- The Dissolved layers were then run through the Repair Geometry Command 3x.

- Next the Integrate Command GeoProcessing Function was run with
a tolerance of 1m to remove redundant points, such as
over-digitized vertices found throughout the layer, this function was
also used to compress the file size of the layer via a relatively low
degree of simplification.
A tolerance equal to 1-meter was set in order to allow for a maximum
offset of 1m from the original source data.
To correct for topological errors created during this
process the Repair Geometry Function was then run three times.

- A spatial Join was then run with the Dissolved Layers and their corresponding
Full County Parcel Label Points (which where dissolved on PARCELID)
in order to get Parcel Count for each dissolved feature.

- The [YB_DECADE] was populated as:
  str(!FIRST_AYRBLT!) + " - " + str(!FIRST_AYRBLT!)[0:3] + "9"

- The final shapefile represents polygons of parcels which
structures/ buildings were originally built in the same decade.

- Several other fields were added to the attribute table:
   [DESCRIPT] - Based on [YB_DECADE]
[FGDLAQDATE] - The date FGDL acquired the original data from the Source.
As well as [CNTYNAME], [SYMBOLOGY], [LAT_DD], [LONG_DD], [MGRS], [GOOGLEMAP], [ACRES], and [AUTOID].

- Reviewed and cleaned up Godzilla Polygons with too many vertices.

Please Note: Tabular spatial information was derived from the feature's label point and not the feature's centroid.</procdesc><srcused>GeoPlan</srcused><procdate>20220614</procdate><proccont><cntinfo><cntorgp><cntorg>University of Florida GeoPlan Center</cntorg><cntper>Kate Norris</cntper></cntorgp><cntpos>Geospatial Data Manager &amp; Senior GIS Specialist</cntpos><cntaddr><addrtype>mailing and physical</addrtype><address>131 Architecture Building | PO Box 115706</address><city>Gainesville</city><state>FL</state><postal>32611-5706</postal><country>US</country></cntaddr><cntvoice>www.fgdl.org</cntvoice><cntemail>data@fgdl.org</cntemail></cntinfo></proccont></procstep></lineage></dataqual><spdoinfo><direct>Vector</direct><ptvctinf><sdtsterm><sdtstype>GT-polygon composed of chains</sdtstype><ptvctcnt>2828318</ptvctcnt></sdtsterm></ptvctinf></spdoinfo><spref><horizsys><planar><mapproj><mapprojn>NAD 1983 HARN Florida GDL Albers</mapprojn><albers><stdparll>24.0</stdparll><stdparll>31.5</stdparll><longcm>-84.0</longcm><latprjo>24.0</latprjo><feast>400000.0</feast><fnorth>0.0</fnorth></albers></mapproj><planci><plance>coordinate pair</plance><coordrep><absres>0.0001</absres><ordres>0.0001</ordres></coordrep><plandu>meter</plandu></planci></planar><geodetic><horizdn>D North American 1983 HARN</horizdn><ellips>GRS 1980</ellips><semiaxis>6378137.0</semiaxis><denflat>298.257222101</denflat></geodetic></horizsys></spref><eainfo><detailed><enttyp><enttypl>YB_DECADES_2021</enttypl><enttypd>YB_DECADES_2021.DBF</enttypd><enttypds>FDOR</enttypds></enttyp><attr><attrlabl>OBJECTID</attrlabl><attrdef>Internal feature number.</attrdef><attrdefs>Esri</attrdefs><attrdomv><udom>Sequential unique whole numbers that are automatically generated.</udom></attrdomv></attr><attr><attrlabl>Shape</attrlabl><attrdef>Feature geometry.</attrdef><attrdefs>ESRI</attrdefs><attrdomv><udom>Coordinates defining the features.</udom></attrdomv></attr><attr><attrlabl>CNTYNAME</attrlabl><attrdef>The County Name.</attrdef><attrdefs>GeoPlan Center</attrdefs></attr><attr><attrlabl>YB_DECADE</attrlabl><attrdef>The range of the actual year builts by decades.</attrdef><attrdefs>GeoPlan Center</attrdefs></attr><attr><attrlabl>PAR_COUNT</attrlabl><attrdef>Number of individual parcels in dissolved polygon. [Original Statewide Parcel Layer: Florida_Parcels_2021.gdb] Process for dissolving parcel polygons based on decade of actual year built: - For each county a new field representing Actual Year Built [AYRBLT] was populated based on the attribute table information for the following fields; ACTYRBLT and AYRB. - First [AYRBLT] was set equal to ACTYRBLT, - Next a selection set was created where [AYRBLT] = 0, these selected features were set equal to AYRB. - Also checked for data in the Effective Year Built field where ACTYRBLT = 0. - The [AYRBLT] field was then repopulated as the following, where for example, 1999 becomes 1990: str(!ACTYRBLT!)[0:3] + "0" - The parcel polygon boundaries were then Dissolved (as single part features) based on the combination of the CNTYNAME and AYRBLT fields. The process maintained the FIRST: FIRST_AYRBLTD and FIRST_CNTYNAME fields during this step. - The Dissolved layers were then run through the Repair Geometry Command 3x. - Next the Integrate Command GeoProcessing Function was run with a tolerance of 1m to remove redundant points, such as over-digitized vertices found throughout the layer, this function was also used to compress the file size of the layer via a relatively low degree of simplification. A tolerance equal to 1-meter was set in order to allow for a maximum offset of 1m from the original source data. To correct for topological errors created during this process the Repair Geometry Function was then run three times. - A spatial Join was then run with the Dissolved Layers and their corresponding Full County Parcel Label Points (which where dissolved on PARCELID) in order to get Parcel Count for each dissolved feature. - The [YB_DECADE] was populated as: str(!FIRST_AYRBLT!) + " - " + str(!FIRST_AYRBLT!)[0:3] + "9" - The final shapefile represents polygons of parcels which structures/ buildings were originally built in the same decade. - Several other fields were added to the attribute table: [DESCRIPT] - Based on [YB_DECADE] [FGDLAQDATE] - The date FGDL acquired the original data from the Source. As well as [CNTYNAME], [SYMBOLOGY], [LAT_DD], [LONG_DD], [MGRS], [GOOGLEMAP], [ACRES], and [AUTOID]. - Reviewed and cleaned up Godzilla Polygons with too many vertices. Please Note: Tabular spatial information was derived from the feature's label point and not the feature's centroid.</stepDesc><stepDateTm>2022-06-14</stepDateTm><stepProc><rpIndName>Kate Norris</rpIndName><rpOrgName>University of Florida GeoPlan Center</rpOrgName><rpPosName>Geospatial Data Manager &amp; Senior GIS Specialist</rpPosName><rpCntInfo><cntPhone><voiceNum>www.fgdl.org</voiceNum></cntPhone><cntAddress addressType="both"><delPoint>131 Architecture Building | PO Box 115706</delPoint><city>Gainesville</city><adminArea>FL</adminArea><postCode>32611-5706</postCode><country>US</country><eMailAdd>data@fgdl.org</eMailAdd></cntAddress></rpCntInfo><role><RoleCd value="009" /></role></stepProc><stepSrc type="used"><srcCitatn><resAltTitle>GeoPlan</resAltTitle></srcCitatn></stepSrc></prcStep><dataSource><srcDesc>Spatial and Attribute Information</srcDesc><srcMedName><MedNameCd value="015" /></srcMedName><srcScale><rfDenom>0</rfDenom></srcScale></dataSource></dataLineage></dqInfo><spatRepInfo><VectSpatRep><geometObjs><geoObjTyp><GeoObjTypCd value="001" /></geoObjTyp><geoObjCnt>2828318</geoObjCnt></geometObjs></VectSpatRep></spatRepInfo><Esri><CreaDate>20220711</CreaDate><CreaTime>19585200</CreaTime><ArcGISFormat>1.0</ArcGISFormat></Esri><Binary><Enclosure><Descript>original metadata</Descript><Data EsriPropertyType="Base64" OriginalFileName="source_metadata.xml" SourceMetadata="yes" SourceMetadataDigest="98a81087335c4bc78c467c62b88bc99d" SourceMetadataSchema="fgdc">PD94bWwgdmVyc2lvbj0iMS4wIiBlbmNvZGluZz0idXRmLTgiPz4NCjxtZXRhZGF0YT4NCiAgPGlk
