Some surveys were completed by individual survey firms under contract to the seller, but had to meet the Southwest Florida Water Management District Survey Section's requirements. A Professional Surveyor verified these from the Survey section of the SWFWMD. For large multi-parcel acquisition projects, such as the Green Swamp and Annutteliga Hammock, surveys were not obtained for the small tracts (most are less than 20 acres). Sketches were made based on the legal descriptions.
