Added Descript item based on NAME 5.) Reprojected data to FGDL Albers HPGN (See "Map Projection Parameters" below) 6.) Upcased all character records 20020101 The Places dataset was enhanced at the Geoplan Center by the addition/standardization of attribute data from the 2000 census Summary 1 file. Digital boundary and attribute data were acquired from the U.S.Census Bureau (http://ftp2.census.gov/census_2000/datasets/demographic_profile/Florida/) and the Geography Network (http://www.geographynetwork.com) in shapefile format by the GeoPlan Center 2001. When received, the data was in Geographic projection, Datum: NAD83, Spheroid: GRS1980, Units: Decimal degrees.
