This simulation uses the lower emissions scenarios - Representative Concentration Pathway (RCP) 4.5.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;This data was derived from the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5 (CMIP5), downscaled using Localized Constructed Analogs (LOCA), for a subset of climate variables.  LOCA uses statistical techniques to correct global climate model data for biases and downscale those data to a 1/16th degree spatial resolution.  The Localized Constructed Analogs (LOCA) data set was developed by the University of San Diego Scripps Institution of Oceanography. The LOCA derived data, which this GIS dataset was created from, was developed by the National Climate Assessment (NCA) Technical Support Unit for use in the Fourth NCA (NCA4).  The University of Florida GeoPlan Center downloaded the NCA4 derived data and converted it to GIS format. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;</idAbs><idCredit>North Carolina State University, North Carolina Institute for Climate Studies (LOCA-derived data).
