The Photointerpretation Key accompanying the 2014 dataset remains correct in its classes and their descriptions, but is being revised to reflect the current imagery, data description and mapping process. Wetlands identified in this layer should only be used for general reference, not for legal purposes or detailed analysis. Local determinations always require field inspection. The 2020 map used the below dates of capture for the various counties: &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Year Flight Season Counties&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;2020 Dec. 2019 - Mar. 2020 Alachua, Baker, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Lake, Marion, Osceola, Polk, Putnam&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;2021 Dec. 2020 - Mar. 2021 Brevard, Indian River, Nassau, Okeechobee, Orange, St. Johns, Seminole, Volusia&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;2022 Dec. 2021 - March 2022 Bradford, Union&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;The 2020 data is mapped to the extent of the previous 2014 dataset as far as available imagery allowed.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;IMAGERY NOTE: Security restrictions in effect during the COVID 19 epidemic prohibited aerial imagery capture over the easternmost portion of Brevard County (USGS Quarter Quads 3705 (False Cape) and 3606 NE (Cape Canaveral). A private contractor has this area in his project plan, but as of June 2024 imagery is not yet available. Land cover data in this area has not been updated. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;CODING NOTE: The requirement for the Land Use Class &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN STYLE="font-weight:bold;"&gt;1180 Rural Residential &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;to have a separate Land Cover code was eliminated, and the class was revised to reflect the PI Key description as a Land Use class. It was noted during this update that this 1180 class was misapplied in many cases in the previous update as far as both areal extent and size. The PI Key describes this class in part as "not intended to be applied to small patchy features in the landscape." Many polygons were either merged together, or where appropriate, merged into adjacent low density residential areas. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;This data layer was developed to support many of the District's critical projects or programs, including Pollution Load Reduction Goal Development, Land Acquisition, Land Management, Water Supply Planning, Floodplain Management, and Surface and Ground Water Quality Monitoring. Wetlands identified in this layer should only be used for general reference, not for legal purposes or detailed analysis. Local determinations always require field inspection.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;This update continues the District's historical practice of mapping the portion of Ocklawaha River Basin in Polk County that was transferred to the Southwest Florida Water Management District. This is an update to the FGDL layer LU_SJRWMD_2014_JUN18.</idAbs><idCredit>St Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD), other agencies where applicable. This data set was compiled with input from SJRWMD project staff.

Each feature is required to have two attributes, one emphasizing land cover (LCCODE) and the second land use (LUCODE). In most cases, these two values are the same. They differ in a minority of cases where separate cover and use values are required in order to adequately describe the mapping unit. The result is a map with dual codes. The LCCODE attribute can be used (mapped, queried, etc.) alone for a land cover emphasis; LUCODE can be used alone for a land use emphasis; or both can be used together. DUAL- CODING CONVENTIONS APPLIED IN THE 2014 DATA LAYER ARE DECRIBED BELOW:

8360 - Other Treatment ponds (non-sewage). In this case, the LUCODE must be populated with the associated land use or purpose of the ponds, e.g. dairy (2520) or cattle feeding operation (2310). Polygons described by the following LUCODEs may at the discretion of the photointerpreter have differing values for LUCODE and LCCODE:
1180 - Rural Residential (2-5 acres per dwelling unit) - A different LCCODE is only required where the LCCODE is Forested (the 4000
classes) or Shrub and Brushland (3200, 3300). To maintain the 2009 convention that 3100 be used only in natural or non- urban settings, 3100 can no longer be used as a cover type with 1180.

IMAGERY NOTE: Security restrictions in effect during the COVID 19 epidemic prohibited aerial imagery capture over the easternmost portion of Brevard County (USGS Quarter Quads 3705 (False Cape) and 3606 NE (Cape Canaveral). A private contractor has this area in his project plan, but as of June 2024 imagery is not yet available. Land cover data in this area has not been updated.

CODING NOTE: The requirement for the Land Use Class 1180 Rural Residential to have a separate Land Cover code was eliminated, and the class was revised to reflect the PI Key description as a Land Use class. It was noted during this update that this 1180 class was misapplied in many cases in the previous update as far as both areal extent and size. The PI Key describes this class in part as "not intended to be applied to small patchy features in the landscape." Many polygons were either merged together, or where appropriate, merged into adjacent low density residential areas.
