Spatial and Attribute Information
The dataset was downloaded by the GeoPlan Center in shapefile format in 2002 from the National Atlas website: www.nationalatlas.gov. Data was reprojected to FGDL Albers HPGN, extent set to the State of Florida, internal coverage items were dropped, removed internal polygons, removed fields without values, upcased all character items, and added DESCRIPT item based on CNTYNAME. When received, data was in Geographic projection, Datum: NAD83, Spheroid: GRS1980, Units: Meters.

GeoPlan, during the QA/QC process included the following aspects: 1.) Reprojected data to FGDL Albers HPGN (See "Map Projection Parameters" below) 2.) Extent set to the State of Florida 3.) Added DESCRIPT item based on CNTYNAME 4.) Upcased all character records 5.) Dropped old internal coverage items: INDRESFL_, INDRESFL_I, INDRES_, INDRES_ID 6.) Dropped fields with no values: OSGT-CODE, OSGT-ASSOC, NATIVE-CORP, BUILDING 7.) Removed internal polygons without values

The dataset's prior history from United States Department of the Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Geographic Data Service Center (GDSC) is as follows:The Indian Lands and Native Entities in Florida dataset was compiled using USGS 7.5' quadrangle maps (1:24,000), Bureau of Census 1995 TIGER data sets (1:100,000), BIA Pacific Regional Office coverages (1:24,000 ) and the GDSC-developed Land Title Mapper (LTM) (1:24,000).
