An existing recreational trail is defined as a paved or unpaved trail for hiking, biking, equestrian, multiple use, paddling, or motorized use (ATV, OHM, ROV) that is open to the public. This does not include in-road bike lanes or sidewalks. This layer is compiled from local, state, and federal agencies and organizations. This layer is being maintained in accordance with the Florida Greenways and Trails System Plan, Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP). This data is a work in progress, and can be updated at anytime without warning to correct/update any area. This data is partial and is not considered complete until the entire trails system review has been completed.

- In Map Contents, Right click Existing_Trails, Data, Export Features, Fields:
- For fields LAST_UPDATE and MODIFIED_BY
- Use the Edit pencil tool, uncheck Allow NULL box, select OK
- Export to a new dataset.
- Project that new dataset to WKID 3087, see below for details:

During the QA/QC process the following tasks were undertaken:
- Added the field DESCRIPT based on NAME.
- Added the field FGDLAQDATE based on date received from source.
- If the data is received in FGDB format
Recalculated the following Domain Fields to their Domain Name values using Arcade in the Field Calculator:

TYPE = DomainName($feature, 'TYPE')
STATE_PARK = ($feature, 'STATE_PARK')
- Uppercased all text in the attribute table except URLs.
- Ran Repair Geometry 2x.
- Data set was renamed to EXISTING_TRAILS_NOV25
- Next the EXISTING_TRAILS_NOV25 dataset was used to create the EXISTING_TRAILS_BUFF_NOV25 dataset which is used in the EST for notification purposes.
