GeoPlan created a subset of the original dataset that included only features located in Florida (STATE_CODE = 'FL'). After the selection was made, one point located outside of the Florida boundary was removed from the dataset.
Next, the following fields were added:
- Added RELEASE and CAAREGCHEM fields.
- Added LAT_DD and LONG_DD fields.
- Added MGRS field.
- Added GOOGLEMAP field.
- Added DESCRIPT field.
- Added FGDLAQDATE field.
GeoPlan downloaded the TRI tabular data from the following website, using the selection drop-downs of 2023 and Florida (FL) on 8/27/2025.

The csv download was converted to a FGDB table. A table join was created between the TRI Current Basic Data database file and the EPA spatial data. A Clean Air Act Chemical summary table was created from the TRI Current Basic Data and this count information was used to populated the CAAREGCHEM field. The fields used to populate the CAAREGCHEM were CLASSIFICATION and CARCINOGEN. All fields were upcased.
