This dataset contains occurrence data for highest priority bird species in the Peninsular Florida Bird Conservation Region (BCR 31), as determined by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), which are also federally threatened or endangered. Data is from 2000-01-01 to 2018-12-31 and was downloaded from the U.S. Geological Survey's Biodiversity Information Serving Our Nation (BISON) mapping utility. The data is a subset of bird occurrences derived from eBird, a biodiversity-related citizen science project managed by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. This layer is the parent for ROSEATE TERN, which uses the following selection: EBIRD.DESCRIPT = 'ROSEATE TERN'. This layer is the parent for RED-COCKADED WOODPECKER, which uses the following selection: EBIRD.DESCRIPT = 'RED-COCKADED WOODPECKER'. This layer is the parent for KIRTLAND'S WARBLER, which uses the following selection: EBIRD.DESCRIPT = 'KIRTLAND'S WARBLER'. This layer is the parent for GRASSHOPPER SPARROW (FLORIDA), which uses the following selection: EBIRD.DESCRIPT = 'GRASSHOPPER SPARROW (FLORIDA)'. This layer is the parent for BLACK RAIL, which uses the following selection: EBIRD.DESCRIPT = 'BLACK RAIL'. This layer is the parent for PIPING PLOVER, which uses the following selection: EBIRD.DESCRIPT = 'PIPING PLOVER'. This layer is the parent for RED KNOT, which uses the following selection: EBIRD.DESCRIPT = 'RED KNOT'. This layer is the parent for SNAIL KITE, which uses the following selection: EBIRD.DESCRIPT = 'SNAIL KITE'. This layer is the parent for CRESTED CARACARA, which uses the following selection: EBIRD.DESCRIPT = 'CRESTED CARACARA'. This layer is the parent for FLORIDA SCRUB JAY, which uses the following selection: EBIRD.DESCRIPT = 'FLORIDA SCRUB JAY'. This layer is the parent for WOOD STORK, which uses the following selection: EBIRD.DESCRIPT = 'WOOD STORK'.
