        <title>Ambient Air Monitoring Sites in Florida - March 2018</title>
        <geoform>vector digital data</geoform>
      </citeinfo>
    </citation>
    <descript>
This dataset contains the locations of ambient air monitoring sites in Florida. Ambient air monitoring sites are geographic point locations with monitoring equipment, and possibly meteorological instruments, that monitor outdoor, near ground level criteria pollutant concentrations. While this layer is similar to the airmon_may11 layer also available on FGDL, it should be noted that the layers originate from distinct source datasets and differ in both tabular and spatial information.
      <purpose>Ambient air monitoring data are provided to the EPA to meet federal requirements; communicate air quality to other levels of government, air monitoring professionals, researchers, medical professionals, and the public; and ensure that adequate air quality information is available for modifying planning, development, and personal behavior.</purpose>
